Thank you to everyone for their orders so far! I am really enjoying working through them and hope you’ll love them as much as I do!
I thought it would be a good time to tell you a bit about myself and my background.
I’m Sophie and I’m a mother of two based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
I used to work as an operator at Mulberry (an internationally known fashion company, also based in Somerset) where I would assemble and stitch handbags.
I was then promoted to supervisor where I would oversee the production lines to ensure we hit our targets and maintained excellent quality.
But in 2020, Mulberry closed one of their U.K. factories and I was made redundant after 10 years. I had only just had my second child at the time so the timing couldn’t have been much worse and I was devastated.
After a while, I decided to take this set-back as an opportunity to take the skills I had learnt at my last job and apply them to something new - making baby and children’s clothes. I began making rompers for my newborn and loved it so much that I decided to open my own store.
I make each item myself at home (my partner Scott is a sewing machine mechanic which is super handy) and we take great care selecting the right materials and patterns for every product.
